What attracted you to a career in recruitment?
I was advised to consider a career in recruitment by G4R. Before then, I had never considered it. The potential to earn a high salary almost immediately was extremely attractive to me, alongside the sales environment which I was used to.

How would you describe the beginning of your career in recruitment? What did you do in the first few weeks?
My training lasted about 3 weeks. I was given background on how the business made its money and a lot of time was spent on background information in the telecoms sector.

What do you enjoy about your recruitment job?
I enjoy the variety of each day, and the interaction I have with 100's of different people from all over the world.

What has been your biggest success to date in recruitment?
I was given a brand new Account to grow and develop from scratch 6 months ago. As it currently stands, my account is now generating over £16,000 a month for my company with a recruiter being assigned for assistance.

How would you describe your working environment?
Professional, yet sociable. My hours can be long, however this is my own choice as the competiveness of this industry leads to some stressful days but rewarding achievements.

What advice would you give to a graduate who is considering a career in recruitment?
Do not expect a 9-5 job. The more work you put in, the more successful you will be.
